Chalet Rules 1. Our standard check in time is from 13H00. Please report main lodge on arrival and collect your keys.

2. Departure is strictly no later than 10H00. Please report at our main lodge before departure, and please hand in your keys. Late departures will carry a penalty charge.

3. Occupancy at anytime, for any reason, is limited to the number of persons agreed, as per your reservation, and is strictly limited to the maximum bed capacity per room (ie. maximum 4 persons per self-catering unit)

    4. Absolutely NO SMOKING is permitted INSIDE chalets. Please make use ashtrays and ashtray pots around the venue and only smoke in allocated outdoor areas.  

5. When leaving the chalet unoccupied at any time, please lock the doors

6. Kindly note that NO drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) or food is permitted to be consumed at any communal areas (ie. at the pool, Nkwe Hall, Pub or in the gardens) and may only be enjoyed in or at your own chale

   7. Breakages: Please inform us of any breakages, should you encounter any on arrival, no longer than one hour of your check in to avoid any relevant damage/breakage charges which will be charged to your account.  

8. SELF-CATERING UNITS: An initial amount of firewood will be provided for self-catering guests, and any other items required for your stay (eg. wood) may be purchased from our main lodge.

9.SELF-CATERING UNITS: Fires to be made ONLY in appropriate fire pit areas provided and guests must please ensure that fires are completely extinguished before they leave the chalet, or before going to bed.

11.Silence is strictly to be observed from 22h00 (10pm).

12.The sound levels of music/sound equipment must be kept at a reasonable level at all times – and must not be a nuisance to other guests. We request that guests be courteous to the bushveld surroundings, and remember that they are are in fact within a game farm, and use discretion accordingly to keep noise levels, in general, to a respectfully low level.

13. The swimming pool is used at own risk & children may only swim under adult supervision.

14.Kids must be accompanied by adults at all times while at the lodge, and inside the swimming pool

15.Please adhere to restrictions of private venue use, as noted on the sign boards outside venues at all times.

16.Please use electricity and water wisely and switch off unnecessary lights, or air-conditioners when you go out or are not using a room.

17.Unless otherwise indicated, the speed limit within the lodge grounds and the reserve is 20km/hr.

18.NO refuse to be placed within or outside the chalet, except in the refuse bins provided.

19.Leisure guest visitors are ONLY permitted during the day by prior arrangement with the sales consultant or front office. Day visitors, when confirmed, must vacate the property by latest 18h00, and it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their visitors depart from the premises accordingly.

            20.For self-catering guests: Breakfast is available to be ordered and purchased from our main lodge. Please note however, that for groups of 8 or more guests wishing to enjoy meals, prior arrangements and bookings are essential.  

21.For B&B Accommodation Guests: Your breakfast venue will be confirmed on arrival and will be served from 9h00

 22.Please adhere to restrictions indicated, and not entering private venues which may be reserved by other guests, which will appropriately be noted on sign boards outside venues when applicable.  

23.SELF-CATERING UNITS: Staff will be available Mon to Sat to clear ash from the boma area, if you require any additional services, please enquire with reception about additional charges.

24.Linen and Towels will be changed every 3 days or when they are soiled.

25.Please do not use towels for Swimming​; they are supplied for bathing purposes only.

26.Do not move furniture around in the rooms or chalets and do not, under any circumstance, take them outside.

27.Upon departure, please ensure that the chalet is generally tidy.

28.Should any of the rules of the lodge not be adhered to, we reserve the right to admission. Misbehaviour will not be tolerated, and guests failing to adhere to the rules will be asked to vacate the premises immediately, with no refunds.

Rules + Regulations of Unathi Horseback Safari's

It is required to arrive 20 minutes before the scheduled ride time IF YOU ARE 20min OR MORE LATE YOU EITHER FORFEIT YOUR RIDE or wait until end of day when all other scheduled clients are done with their trail

·         Game at Unathi: gemsbuck, sable, kudu, nyala, impala, zebra, white and brown blesbuck, wildebeest,

·         Valid: Monday to Sunday (9am to 5pm).

·         Reservations strictly depend on booking availability. 

·         Unsuitable clothing will not be permitted; please wear loose clothing and closed shoes

·         Subject to weather and reservation restrictions.  Unathi reserves the right to reschedule all bookings/rides as they see fit if any weather conditions arise, we do not ride in RAIN, MUDDY OR WINDY CONDITIONS

·         Kids Policy: 7 and up (u/12 must be accompanied by an adult).

·         Booking is essential and subject to availability. 

·         You are provided with a MAP + DIRECTIONS to the lodge please follow that carefully, the gate will be unlocked for you both gates are manual gates

·         Speed limit of 20km/ph must strictly be adhered to as we have rare game on the premises. In an event that you are caught speeding you will be asked to leave the premises, in an event where one of our animals are hit by a speeding car you will be liable to pay for that animal in FULL

·         You will be required to wear a hat

·         We ride in single file behind one another do not pass, or ride side by side

·         UNATHI RESERVED THE RIGHT TO REFUSE A CLIENT ON A  LEVEL IF THEY SEE THAT LEVEL IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOU

·         No screaming and yelling

·         No slapping or abusing the horses

·         Do not go faster than the group

·         Listen and obey the trail guide

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ACCIDENTS OR INJURIES REGARDLESS IF OR IF NO WAIVER HAS BEEN SIGNED

Unathi Game Lodge Rules, Terms, Conditions & Regulations Rules ● Each Guest is bound to the Rules of the Lodge. ● This document serves as the guideline for Guests and to ensure that your stay is pleasant. ● It is the responsibility of Guests to familiarize themselves with the contents of the document. Ignorance of its contents in the case of misconduct cannot be an excuse. Indemnity ● Any Guest causing loss or damage to any fixed or movable property of shall be liable to reimburse the lodge for any loss suffered by Unathi in replacing or repairing such loss or damage. Unathi and its owners shall not be responsible for the loss of money or other personal property from Guest’s rooms. Unathi accepts no responsibility whatsoever for loss of, or damage to residents' private property during their stay. ● Guests are responsible for insurance of their personal items. ● A First Aid kit is held at the reception for minor injuries, for any other serious ailments, ● Unathi and its owners shall not be responsible for any damages, losses or injuries during residence activities, trail walks, game drives, pools, around the premises or on excursions. Visitor’s responsibility ● Treat fellow Guests and Unathi staff with respect at all times. ● Please take responsibility for Children and minors staying with you at Unathi. ● Children should be under supervision at all times and are the responsibility of their parents or guardians. ● Respect the privacy of other Guests. ● Comply with all fair and reasonable guidelines, rules and instructions of Unathi personnel. ● Report any irregular deeds by fellow Guests. ● Use the available facilities with responsibility and accountability in accordance with the Lodge Rules. Rules applying to accommodation at Unathi Lodge ● ​ Reservation Policy: Full payment is required for confirmation of Self-Catering Accommodation, B&B Accommodation and Game Drive bookings. ● E-mail proof of payment to unathigamelodge@gmail.com​ ​within 48 hours of booking invoice sent to avoid expiry of the provisional booking on our system. ● bank transfers or deposits are accepted. Prices quoted are subject to change without prior notice. ​ ● Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of bookings: Cancellation within 48 hours prior to the booking date is charged at 50% (ie. full deposit payment) OR the full payment with a cancellation within 24 hours of the booking date & time. ● Only paying Guests may be accommodated at Unathi. ● Please do not use towels for Swimming; they are supplied for bathing purposes only. ​ ● There is a NO SMOKING​ policy in the Accommodation at all times. During winter times care should be taken when smoking on the property due to a High fire danger alert. Please take care when extinguishing your cigarette butts, please use the ashtrays and ashtray pots provided around the venue. Guests who are careless and cause a fire will legally be held responsible for damages to Unathi property, neighboring properties and the reserve. ● All game animals should be treated with respect as they are all wild animals. Care should be taken when on Game drives or trail walks. ALWAYS keep a safe distance from all game. ● Please do not attempt to touch or play with any snakes on the property as many of them are venomous, stay calm and stay still until the snake moves away from you. In most cases snakes do not attack people; they just want to get away from you. Please report any sightings to our main lodge ● In case of an emergency please advise the reception office, or if occurring after hours, please contact one of the owners Samantha 0783346148 or Dion Pieterse on 0837345141 immediately.
